Reporting to the President, the Vice President will be responsible for the planning, resourcing, and advancement of all credit instructional programs; for ensuring support infrastructures that foster instructional excellence and maximize student learning; and for developing innovative, responsive programming that meets workforce needs throughout the service area.

Essential Job Duties Include:

  • Serves as Chief Academic Officer for the College, responsible for diverse oversight processes ensuring the highest levels of integrity, performance, and responsiveness of all credit instructional programs and related support services.
  • Ensures Tri-County Technical College students experience "transformational learning" that positively impacts not only their immediate job prospects, but also their careers and their lives. Maximizes learning outcomes by integrating curricular and co-curricular learning opportunities in purposeful and innovative yet sustainable ways.
  • Enhances learning options and opportunities through productive collaborations with diverse partners ranging from tried-and-true to new and promising.
  • Contributes actively to a dynamic, learning-oriented Executive Staff Team dedicated to maintaining and advancing an institution focused on its mission of teaching, learning, student success, economic development and preparing a highly-skilled workforce throughout the service area.

Minimum Requirements

  • Three years of full-time experience in a faculty appointment at a community or technical college (must include teaching credit instruction as part of the faculty appointment).
  • A master's degree plus seven (7) years of progressively responsible related work experience. ("Progressively responsible" is defined as full-time positions at increasingly higher levels of authority with oversight/responsibility for credit instructional offerings/programs.)Salary is competitive. Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree
  • Experience as a full-time instructor of credit courses at a community or technical college
  • Leadership/management experience with credit instructional programs in a community or technical college setting
  • Demonstrated skill in leading complex initiatives to successful conclusion with diverse constituents
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Creative and courageous leader
  • Problem solver
