Tri-County Technical College's Assessment Center administers the following ATI tests:
Prior to taking the ATI TEAS or the RN Fundamentals test, students must have completed the application process at Tri-County Technical College. Students are permitted only two testing attempts per academic year.
Students need to allow 3.5 to 4.0 hours for TEAS testing or 1.5 to 2 hours for RN Fundamentals testing. The TEAS test is comprised of subtests for Reading, Mathematics, Science and English. The RN Fundamentals test consists of questions designed to provide assessment data regarding a student's mastery of concepts of nursing fundamentals linked to the NCLEX test plan. Calculator links are provided on the screen when permitted.
A student with a documented hearing, learning, physical, psychological, and/or visual disability that will prevent him or her from taking the test under standard conditions may request special accommodations. Requests for special accommodations should be made directly to the Accessibility Resource Center at (864)646-1564.
Due to the stay at home restrictions placed on educational institutions during the COVID-19 Pandemic, the ATI TEAS and ATI RN Fundamentals exams will now be proctored online. Proctorio is a remote proctoring platform that uses machine learning to proctor students wherever they may be. While Proctorio will be monitoring you via your webcam, a Tri-County Assessment Center employee will still need to approve your test at a scheduled appointment time. Getting ready for your TEAS or RN Fundamentals test will be a multi step process. Please read all instructions below very carefully.
- The first step in preparing to take the TEAS/RN Fundamentals exam is to create an ATI account. Go to atitesting.com and follow these instructions.
- Next, you will need to ensure that your computer meets the technical requirements. Please follow the Quick Start Guide. Use Practice Assessment ID: 17788206 to progress through the steps. Take it slow and please read everything. Ensure that your computer meets the technical requirements. If it does not, please let our testing center know prior to the day of the test by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. (If you progress to the screen where it ask you to wait for proctor approval, your set up is good. Actually taking the practice assessment is not necessary if you get to this point. A proctor will only be available to approve the 3 question practice assessment during testing hours)
- Once you have verified your computer meets the technical requirements, please email email@example.com with ATI in the subject line requesting an appointment to take your TEAS/RN Fundamentals exam. In the body of the email, please confirm for the proctor that you have completed the two steps above and indicate which appointment time and date you are requesting. Starting Tuesday May 5th, appointment days and times are Monday – Thursday at 8:30 am OR 1:30 pm. The Assessment Center will determine your eligibility to test and if eligible, you will receive instructions for payment when your appointment is confirmed. Again, the ATI TEAS test fee will be $70.00 (This includes a $5.00 online proctoring fee from Proctorio, the online proctoring service. This $5.00 fee will be credited back to your student account when the College receives your test scores.) and the RN Fundamentals will be $37.00. This fee will be paid directly to ATI just prior to testing.
