March 30, 2020: College to Remain Closed Through April
Less than one week has passed since we officially moved our coursework online on March 25. I can not thank you enough for everything you have done to ensure we continue to provide a high-quality learning experience and maintain a sense of community even as we are physically separated from each other and our students.
On Saturday, March 28, Governor McMaster issued an order officially extending the period during which schools are to remain closed through the month of April. As is our current practice, non-essential employees are not to come to campus. The full text of his order can be accessed at this link. Please refer to Section 2: School Closures.
This remains a time of uncertainty for all of us, and there are many questions we can not yet answer. But with your patience, cooperation, and assistance, we can continue to manage the impacts of the COVID-19 crisis, while at the same time focusing on the future to ensure stability and continuity in the face of the unknown.
In your service,
Galen DeHay, Ph.D.
