Freedom Ride

General Description:
The Freedom Ride is a motorcycle-based Poker Run across the Greater Anderson Area, featuring stops that highlight veteran and active military themes. The ride will be based at the Anderson Campus of Tri-County Technical College, located at 511 Michelin Boulevard in Anderson, SC - just one mile from the Anderson County Airport - and will last approximately two hours.  

Date:     Saturday, May 16, 2015 - Armed Forces Day!
Times:   Registration begins at 9:10 am.
                Bikes out (all together, parade style) at 10:05 am.
                Show and Shine begins at 11:45 am. 
                Last Bike in at 12:15 pm.    
                Awards Ceremony at 12:30 pm.

The day will include activities, music, food vendors, displays and more...

Registration, Check-in and Logistics: 

  • Inbound traffic, parking, trailering, registration and pre-staging will occur at the TCTC Driver Training Pad on Standridge Road, just past where Standridge intersects with Michelin Blvd.
  • All motorcycles will be pre-staged for a parade style start at 10:05 am.
  • Participants can pre-register at the link below or complete walk-up registration on site. 
  • NOTE: anyone pre-registering by May 10 is guaranteed an event T-shirt. No shirts guaranteed after May 10.
  • The Ride will proceed rain or shine.

  • Poker Run Stops will include Timm's Harley Davidson, Richard M. Campbell Veterans Home, the new Veteran's Memorial in Pendleton and more....
  • Show your patriotism and Strut Your Stripes! Dress in red, white, and blue. An award will be given for the most creative patriot attire.
  • Dress your bike as well! Anything that's creative, patriotic and in good taste is welcomed. An award will be given for the best-dressed bike.
  • No pets. Service animals welcome.

  • Cash prizes for best and worst hands, 50/50 cash raffle, valuable door prizes and more...
    Most Senior Veteran Rider: a special award will be presented to the oldest veteran rider. 
  • Patriotism Award: Show your patriotism and Strut Your Stripes! Dress in red, white, and blue. An award will be given for the most creative patriotic attire/costume.
  • Best-Dressed Bike: Dress your bike as well! Anything that's creative, patriotic and in good taste is welcomed. An award will be given for the best-dressed bike.
