Freight Agent

Take a look around you. It is highly unlikely you have much if anything that did not reach you either entirely or partially by truck. The size and scope of the motor freight industry is overwhelming. Regardless of the condition of our nation's economy, there will always be a need for the transportation of goods, products, and other related services. Transportation services are critical to economic and social survival and will never subside.

Logistics is defined as the process of planning, implementing, and controlling the efficient, effective flow and storage of goods, services and related information from their point of origin to point of consumption for the purpose of conforming to customer requirements. Through this course work you will be training for an exciting new career in the logistics work involved in the motor freight or trucking industry. Freight Agent is one of the fastest growing occupations in the nation - the goal of trucking companies is to deliver freight and you will be the contact needed to connect the truck to its next delivery.

What is a Freight Agent?
Freight Agents are Independent Contractors who REPRESENT a Freight Broker in a given area. Because Agents aren't Brokers and because they're home based, their start-up materials are minimal and typically consist of a computer, telephone, a fax machine, and writing software. An Agent's work is very similar to what a Broker does, but the Agent functions UNDER the authority of the Broker, leaving the Broker responsible for such issues as maintaining the required surety bond, insurances, paying carriers, and getting paid, etc. There is an old saying in the transportation industry that says, "if you got it a truck brought it" and if that is true then someone had to arrange the shipment. Freight agents play a vital part in moving freight across the American highways.

Upon successful completion of the Freight Agent Training Program, you will:

Your Training is the most valuable tool we have found for our new brokerage. Your expertise in this industry has helped us immensely. Within the first three days of your one-on-one training we booked our first load. A task that though sounded easy enough was not accomplished until we completed your training. In closing I would like to say that I would recommend your services to anyone serious about succeeding in this industry. Thank you for all that you have done,

Belinda H. from Folkston, GA

After going over the training manual and spending time with you on the phone. Within 2 days I moved my first 2 loads.

Blazo G. from Chicago, IL

I just want to take the time to thank you for your services. Your company and what you have to offer deserves the name A1. I have read through the slides and all the other attachments you sent to me and it's extremely informative. As I kept telling you I wish I met you earlier I would have saved myself a whole lot of money.

Ama W. from Lake Ridge, VA

On my first day of training I was clueless about what I needed to do to make this company work the way it should. Jack taught me the way things are supposed to be done. If I didn't understand something when I ask him he'd just go over it until I got it. I now feel that if I do just as he taught me I can do this. Thanks very much for all you have done for me.

Cindi from Rutherfordton, NC

I have been researching the transportation industry for about 1 year now and during my research looking at as many freight agent/broker training programs that are on the market. I can now honestly say that I am very grateful that I went with my gut feeling. Jack is a true professional in this industry and available for the "long haul" with his clients. He is available for his clients after the training is finished. This is very important because this is when it is most critical for your new business. Thank you Jack for your passion of this industry I can say that when my success comes I will owe it all to you. Keep up the good work and God Bless. You're a true professional to the industry you love. It was a pleasure working with you and may you have the best of luck in your training venture...see you down the road.
