The S.C. Enterprise Zone Act
South Carolina Enterprise Zone Act "Fast Facts":
- Can reduce the cost of training for eligible employees by 50 percent through a refund to the company from SC withholding taxes
- Eligible employees include all production workers, maintenance and set-up personnel up through first line supervisors
- $500/year/employee is the maximum refund in any year of the five-year program, which allows an accumulated refund of $2,000/employee for the five-year period
- Tri-County Technical College will assist companies in developing their training plan and guide them through the approval process
