Pool and Spa Operators

This distance learning course provides the basic information required to operate pool or spa in compliance with DHEC regulations and prepares the operator to take the State Certification Examination to become a certified pool or spa operator. It covers South Carolina rules and regulations, legal requirements, swimming pool structures, basic operation of public pools and spas, basic pool water chemistry and chemicals, techniques for solving water problems, and safety.

As of April 1, 2008 the Environmental Certification Board no longer provides administrative responsibility for issuance of the Pool Operator license.
