Pamela W. Cain RPh, MPH
Pamela W. Cain RPh, MPH received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Masters in Public Health from the University of South Carolina. She has worked as a pharmacist at Palmetto Health Richland in central and decentral pharmacy operations, including surgery, intensive care, cardiology, pediatrics, and ambulatory care. She has twenty years experience as a manager of inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services. She is a member of the South Carolina Pharmacy Association, SC Society of Health System Pharmacists, and the American Society of Health System Pharmacists.
Diabetes and Medication Therapy (1 hour):
Upon completion of this program, the technician will be able to:
- Identify medication therapy options for patients with diabetes
- Summarize issues affecting the patient's adherence with their medication regimen
Pharmacy Law: Case Studies (2 hours)
Upon completion of this program, the technician will be able to:
- Summarize the ethical and legal responsibilities in the practice of pharmacy
- Describe legal cases involving the practice of pharmacy
- List and describe Federal and State laws that impact the cases
- Compare the actions in the cases to your practice
He Said, She Said: Gender Communication (1 hour)
Upon completion of this program, the technician will be able to:
- Define the male and female stereotypes
- Describe the different ways in which men and women communicate
- Identify ways to improve communication
