Course Description
Many experts state that adoption of interoperable health information technology systems can improve the quality of care received and reduce healthcare delivery costs. Health Information Specialists will be vital to this process. Both classroom and computer lab classes are included. You be introduced to the basic concepts for this position. Hospitals, physician offices, and other healthcare facilities are adopting the electronic health record in increasing numbers.
