Course Description
Are you interested in learning insurance, billing and coding skills to use within the hospital and medical office environment? With an emphasis on competencies needed for success as as an entry level employee in health information, this program can provide you a solid foundation for opportunities in this area of healthcare. You may take a series of courses to complete our Hospital and Medical Coding Specialist. You may elect to take only the material exams for coders AHIMA or APC after successful completions of this 8 course program.

Health Systems and Professionalism
Electronic Medical Records
Medical Coding (CPT, HCPCS, ICD-9 with introduction to ICD-10CM and PCS
Medical Insurance and Billing Basics
Hospital Coding/Inpatient Outpatient Coding
Hospital Insurance and Billing Basics
