AOL Versions

WebCT 3.8 -- AOL Versions & Settings

Validated: These browsers have been tested extensively and have been validated for use with WebCT.
Non-Validated: These browsers have not been tested extensively but are known to work without any significant issues.
Unsupported: These browser are known to have significant issues in operation with WebCT and are not supported for use with WebCT.

Validated Versions:

  • AOL 7.0

Non-validated Versions:

  • AOL 4.0 and 8.0

Unsupported Versions:

  • AOL 3.0 and earlier

Required Settings:

Note: If you are using AOL 7.0 with WebCT 3.7 or higher, disregard this section.

For best results with AOL:

  • Connect to the Internet using AOL
  • Open a private chat within AOL, which allows the AOL client to remain open without asking if you wish to disconnect while minimized
  • Minimize AOL
  • Launch a supported browser
  • Follow the instructions to prepare Internet Explorer or Netscape browser settings.
