Oconee Campus at the Hamilton Career Center

For Students Interested in Healthcare

Students who desire to work toward a diploma in Practical Nursing or an associate degree in Nursing (Registered Nursing) may start their career pathway at the Hamilton Career Center. All required courses for the diploma in Practical Nursing will be offered at Hamilton. This pathway is available to students while earning a high school diploma and to adult residents of the community interested in the nursing field. General education courses taken in the Practical Nursing Pathway will also meet requirements for the associate degree in Nursing, so that students may easily transition into the Registered Nursing program at Tri-County Technical College if they choose to do so.

LPN TO PROFESSOR INITIATIVE

The LPN to Professor Initiative is a grant that allows academically qualified senior associate degree nursing students to "fast track" into Clemson University's School of Nursing upon graduation and successful completion of the nursing licensure exam. The grant is a cooperative arrangement with the hospitals in Anderson, Oconee and Pickens counties that allows RN students to continue to work full-time while pursuing advanced nursing educational degrees. Interested students may contact the Health Education Admissions Liaison at 864-646-1620 for more information.
