Welcome from the Campus Director

Welcome to the Anderson Campus of Tri-County Technical College. We exist to make the services and programs of the college convenient to where you live and work. During 2012, our college is celebrating 50 years of service to our three-county service area while the Anderson Campus is also celebrating five years of service to you and the greater Anderson area.

Whether you are preparing to transfer to a four-year university, learn a new job skill or retool for a new career, we stand ready to offer you an accessible and affordable path to success. America as a whole and our local economy in particular, face a significant challenge in creating essential jobs and filling them with qualified, highly skilled employees.

A 2011 Manpower study found that the majority of employers were struggling to fill mission-critical positions, in spite of high unemployment rates. It also revealed that 'middle skill' jobs - defined as those requiring more education and training than high school, but less than a bachelor's degree - were among the most difficult to fill. This means that many readily available, high-paying jobs await those who are trained and ready.

Fortunately, equipping people with 'middle skills' is one of our specialties at TCTC. Health services, advanced manufacturing, information technology and clean energy are just a few of the fields at the forefront of innovation in our evolving economy. Let us help you discover a path that fits your interests and needs; and one that can lead to a successful and rewarding career.

As business guru Peter Drucker says, "The best way to predict the future is to create it." So, please come visit our campus and let us assist you in creating a brighter future.

Warmest Regards,

Tim Bowen
