I can count on a stress-free enrollment process

Admissions

Welcome! Whether you're looking for a career pathway that can help you begin work right away or you're interested in a more affordable beginning to your four-year educational journey, with more than 70 programs to choose from, we can help you get the EDGE.

OPEN ADMISSION
Tri-County Technical College believes everyone deserves an opportunity to pursue higher education and is committed to helping all students determine the available opportunities that are best suited for your needs and goals. By assessing student potential and minimizing enrollment obstacles, we strive to create an environment that allows for students to successfully transition to college. The College provides appropriate developmental and remedial programs, when needed, to prepare students for success in their intended program of study.

A high school diploma or high school equivalent credential (e.g. GED) from an approved or accredited institution, though desirable, is not a prerequisite for admission to the College, but is required for admission to diploma and degree programs. However, students must earn a 37 or higher on the reading portion of the COMPASS placement assessment to be admitted to the College. Note that admission to the College does not guarantee entry into all programs. Access specific program requirements under Academics and Prepare for a Career as well as in the Catalog available under Quick Links.

The information in these pages will help you through the admissions process. To contact the Office of Admissions directly, e-mail info@tctc.edu or call 864-646-1550.

Devin

Devin

At the beginning of his junior year at Westside High School, Devin had already made up his mind about majoring in Early Childhood Development at Tri-County. "I really connect with kids, and I learn from them as much as they learn from me. I want to be a role model for children, especially those from single parent homes," said Devin. He volunteers at the Littlejohn Community Center in Clemson and plans to transfer to Winthrop University to earn an Elementary Education degree and eventually teach kindergarten or first grade.
