Love working with computers? Interested in a great-job and great-paying opportunities in manufacturing? The Engineering Graphics Technology program prepares students to translate product ideas into engineering models and documentation using computer software. Students also learn how to draw mechanical parts in three dimensions using CAD/CAM software packages such as ProE, CREO, Catia, and MasterCAM. By producing 3D prototypes, students experience the capabilities and limitations of equipment such as mills and lathes.

SCHEDULING AND ENTRY OPTIONS
Program courses are offered during the day and evening beginning in the Fall Semester of each year. Entry during any other term will be permitted but may limit the courses that may be available. Full-times day students usually complete degree requirements in five terms. General Education course requirements can be completed at any time during the program. Courses can be completed in any order subject to the completion of courses prerequisities.

JOB OUTLOOK
Graduates are typically employed as part of a design team by manufacturing, engineering, and mechanical companies. Anticipated average salary information is located here.

STUDENT PROJECTS
Second-year students create a mock company and work on a design project. Previous design projects include custom-built chopper, wooden motorcycle, guitar, custom machine design, and hair dryer
