Bridge to Clemson Residential Life

Welcome Home!

Community living is one of the most important experiences for a first-year college student. The residential environment offers several opportunities for increased student support, engagement and development, promoting academic success. Bridge students live in four-person apartments at Highpointe of Clemson, located four miles from TCTC and two miles from Clemson. Upper-class resident assistants (RAs) and graduate student resident directors (RDs) live at the property to provide immediate support and assistance as well as to coordinate social and academic programs throughout the year in order to compliment the classroom experience.

BRIDGE HOUSING: HIGHPOINTE OF CLEMSON

SECURITY AT HIGHPOINTE
The Bridge to Clemson program, in conjunction with Highpointe of Clemson, offers a gated community for its residents. Security personnel staff the gate house 24/7 while classes are in session. The only exceptions are during winter and spring breaks when students are not permitted on the property. All guests entering the property must be on a resident's pre-approved guest list or called in by the resident. Any guest entering the property must present a proper ID. Residents must be with guests at all times and are responsible for their guests and their behavior. In addition to security staff monitoring the property at the gate house, during the evening and overnight hours, roving security guards walk and ride through the property, conducting continuous rounds through every building and assisting Bridge Residential Life staff with response to any safety or emergency concerns as well as policy violations.

MAINTENANCE AT HIGHPOINTE
Highpointe of Clemson provides on-site maintenance staff to address any maintenance issues with the Bridge apartments. Students may submit maintenance requests to Highpointe management by calling 864-654-2198 during business hours (M-F 9:00am - 5:00pm). For after-hours maintenance emergencies, residents should call the Bridge program's after-hours on-call staff member who will assess the situation and determine if an emergency call should be made to Highpointe maintenance staff.

INTERNET & CABLE TELEVISION SERVICES
Highpointe of Clemson contracts Innova Communications for internet and cable television services. Each Bridge apartment has wireless internet throughout and wired internet access available in each of the bedrooms. High definition cable television is provided (no equipment needed) with connections in the living room and in each of the bedrooms. For internet or cable television issues, residents should contact Innova communications to submit a work order by calling 844-327-9616 or online at http://highpointe.innova.net/.

TRANSIT SERVICES
Transit services are provided to Bridge students living at Highpointe. The shuttles run Monday - Friday while the college is open and classes are in session around the TCTC and CU class schedules. Shuttles do not run when the college is closed. Highpointe shuttles travel to and from both Tri-County and Clemson campuses. A transit schedule is provided to students each semester. As of August 2016, the transit service provider is now the CATbus. You can view the TCTC/CU/Highpointe shuttle schedule online or through the CATbus mobile app. This information is also available under the Current Student Information page.

BRIDGE RESIDENTIAL COMMUNITY SPECIFIC POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
All Bridge students living at Highpointe are required to sign and submit a Policy Acknowledgement Form, affirming an understanding of and agreement to comply with Bridge residential community policies and procedures. The residential community policies and procedures can be reviewed in Bridge to Clemson Student Handbook, available under the Current Student Information page.
