Resident Assistant (RA) Application
Thank you for your interest in becoming a Resident Assistant (RA) for the Bridge to Clemson Program!
Job Overview: Bridge to Clemson RAs are live-in, part-time, student staff members at the Bridge residential community at Highpointe of Clemson who are chosen through a selection process to create a healthy living and learning environment as well as implement policies, procedures, and programming. Bridge RAs are enthusiastic and passionate individuals who want to help Bridge students get acclimated to and connected with the Bridge to Clemson Program and transition into Tri-County Technical College and Clemson University, as well as the Highpointe community.
Qualifications: Bridge RAs must be current Clemson students. While the position is open to all Clemson upperclassmen, priority may be given to Clemson students that have successfully crossed the Bridge or current Bridge students that are on track to complete the Bridge requirements by the end of the Spring 2017 semester. Academic records will be reviewed to ensure these requirements are successfully met. All RAs must be enrolled in degree granting programs, in good academic and conduct standing with Tri-County Technical College and/or Clemson University, and have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA. RA cumulative and semester grade point averages will be reviewed prior to hiring and on a semester-by-semester basis to ensure that this requirement is met and maintained.
Availability: Bridge RA candidates must be available for all training sessions as well as the 2017-2018 opening dates/times in order to be considered. Spring RA training will take place on Sunday, April 2, 2017 from 4-6pm. Bridge RAs must be available for fall training and opening, with all staff moving in by Monday, July 31st at 5:00pm and beginning training on Tuesday, August 1st and continuing through move-in weekend.
Compensation: Housing and utilities at Highpointe of Clemson will be provided as a condition of employment. Bridge RAs will be paid a weekly stipend for 10 hours a week at $7.25 an hour. All Bridge RAs are responsible for paying their Highpointe security deposit prior to occupancy. If RAs are terminated or voluntarily resign from their position for any reason, their housing at Highpointe will be terminated immediately.
Application Process: Applicants are encouraged to review the Bridge RA Position Description prior to applying. Applicants must complete and submit all of the following by Monday, January 23rd at 5:00pm:

- Have two individuals submit an Online Recommendation Form
- One current or former supervisor/faculty
- One non-family individual who can speak to applicant's skills and abilities
- Submit in person or via scan/email to BTCResLife@tctc.edu
- Records Release Form
- Copy of unofficial transcripts with up-to-date cumulative and semester GPAs
By submitting the application materials, you are granting permission for Bridge staff to verify your current academic and conduct standing. In order to be considered for this position, you must have completed and submitted all required materials by 5pm on Monday, January 23rd, 2017. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Interview Process: Candidates are subject to a two-part interview process. The first step is participation in Group Process, a small group observation. The second step is an individual interview. Group Process will take place the week of January 30th - February 2nd and will be offered on multiple evenings. Details will be provided to all candidates via email to the Tri-County Technical College or Clemson University email provided in the application. Individual interviews will take place February 7th - 16th. Candidates will sign up for an individual interview at the conclusion of their Group Process session.

February 7 - February 16 - Individual interviews
February 20 - Offer letters sent out via email; ALL candidates notified of their candidacy
February 22 - Applicants offered a position must accept or decline by 5:00pm
April 2 - Required Spring Training 4-6pm @ Bridge Student Success Center
